Naturalization Intent: Patrick Boland

Ordered that it be certified that Patrick Boland being a white alien aged 27 years in January or February last which month or what day not recorded, this day came into Court and reported and registered himself pursuant to the act of Congress entitled “an act supplementary to and among the act entitled an act to establish an uniform rule of naturalization, and to repeal the act heretofore existing on that subject.” that the said Patrick Boland was born in the County of Tipperary in the province of Munster, Ireland, that he owes allegiance to Geo. IV. King of the United Kingdoms of Great Britain and Ireland and it is also ordered to be certified, that the said Patrick Boland made oath that it is bona fide his intention of becoming a citizen of the United States of America, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or sovereignty whatsoever, and particularly to Geo: IV. King of the United Kingdoms of Great Britain and Ireland.”
