Naturalization Intent: John Malony

John Malony, an alien, who is desirous of being naturalized a citizen of the United States, made the following report of himself, viz: I John Malony, make the following report of myself to the Circuit Court of Jefferson County, in the State of Virginia, that is to say, I report that I was born in the County of Tipperary, Ireland, within the year 1832, being now about twenty years old, that I am a subject of Victoria 1st Queen of Great Britain and Ireland, owing allegiance to that monarch and none other, that I migrated from Ireland to the United States within the year 1849 and that I intend to settle myself in the State of Virginia, one of the United States. Given under my hand this 23rd day of October, A.D. 1852. John Malony. Witness Thos. A. Moore Whereupon the said John Malony is declared on oath in open Court that it is bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty, whatever, and particularly to Victoria the 1st Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.
