We are indebted to our good friend, Mr. James Flanagan, of the Bakerton neighborhood, for a generous bag full of excellent apples. We have enjoyed them very much.
Mrs. Fannie Hedges and daughter, of Martinsburg, Miss Nellie May Norris, of Frederick, and Miss Lulah Bender, of Bolivar, visited the family of Mr. James Flanagan near Bakerton last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Coleman and children, of Halltown, and Miss Martha Flanagan, of Bakerton, have returned from Berryville, where they have been visiting Mr. John Coleman.
The Register force was very greatly indebted to Miss Martha Flanagan during the Holidays for a box of the most elegant cake we have ever eaten. There were seven or eight different kinds — all good.
