A “devil’s cake” proved a very popular article at the festival at Bakerton last week. It brought the neat sum of $10.35. It was made and presented by Miss Anna Mary Welsh.
Miss Pearl Welsh, the ten-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Welsh, of Bakerton, was operated upon last Sunday for appendicitis. She stood the operation well and is getting along very nicely.
