Nora Frances was the fourth child and first daughter of Tommy and Annie. Nora probably received her first name in honor of her grandmother, Honora.

Nora lost her father due to pneumonia on Tuesday, March 11, 1875 at only 9 years old. The family laid him to rest in St. Peters Cemetery alongside his brother, and Nora's Uncle, Martin.
