Crossing To The Other Shore. It is with regret that we announce the death of Mrs. Laura Frances Moler, which occurred last Sunday afternoon. She had made, her home with her sister, Mrs. Alice Hopper, at Bakerton, and had been in failing health for some time past by reason of the infirmities of her advanced age, she being in her 81st year. Mrs. Moler, whose maiden name was Flanagan, was born November 1, 1836, on Hazlefield Farm, near Bardane. When a little girl she moved with her parents to Rock Hill Farm, near what is now Bakerton, and had lived in that section, or near by, practically all of her long life. On December 21, 1855, she was married to Geo. W. Moler, and they lived happily together until his death 22 years ago. Mrs. Moler was a good woman, kindhearted and considerate, devoted to her family and sincere in her friendship, and she will be greatly missed. For many years she had been a consistent member of the Lutheran Church. She is survived by five sons: George N., Daniel Lee and Robert W., of Bakerton; Frederick F., of Charles Town; and Tanner, of Detroit, Mich.; also two sisters, Mrs. Mary Licklider and Mrs. Alice Hopper, of this county. The funeral was held on Tuesday in the Lutheran Church at Uvilla, and the body was laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery, Shepherdstown.
