Naturalization Intent: Bernard Coulahan

Bernard Coulahan, an alien who is desirous of being naturalized a citizen of the United States, This day appeared in Court, and in pursuance of the act of Congress made the following report of himself, viz:
I Bernard Coulahan, make the following report of myself, that is I report that I was born in the Parish and Barony of Gashel in Ireland in the month of June 1807 being now in the forty seventh year of my age. That I am a subject of Victoria, Queen of Great Brittain and Ireland, owing allegiance to that monarch, and none other, that I migrated from Ireland to the United States on the 15th day of August 1851, and that I intend to settle myself in the County of Jefferson — State of Virginia, one of the United States. Given under my hand this 27th day of October 1854. (signed) Bernard Coulahan.

Bernard Coulahan, an alien, This day declared on oath that it is his bona fide intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, and State or Sovereignty, whatever, and particularly to Victoria I Queen of Great Brittain and Ireland.
