Semi-Weekly Telegram says that the lower part of Loudoun county, Va., was thrown into a great state of excitement last Thursday week by the report that two Misses Caton, aged respectively 21 and 18 years, who resided with their widowed mother, Mrs. Eliza Caton, near the line dividing Fairfax and Loudoun counties, had, after a short and mysterious illness, suddenly died, with symptoms of having been poisoned. It is alleged that the mother prevented the doctor from seeing her elder daughter, and that he thought the younger was suffering from typhoid fever. The body of the elder daughter was exhumed last Tuesday, to be immediately sent to some chemist for examination. Various rumors are afloat concerning the cause of death. Among others it is said that the elder daughter was in a critical condition.
