Young Boys Throwing Stones at Insulators

LOOK OUT.– The young lads of our town have a wonderful penchant for throwing stones at any conceivable object, to the annoyance and danger of every family in the village — It is to be hoped the bad practice will be stopped, as we see that Mr. A. G. Davis, Superintendent of the Telegraph line from Harper’s Ferry to Winchester, offers $10 reward for the detection of any one found throwing stones at the glass insulators, not only in town but anywhere on the line. The poor birds nestling in the trees surrounding the Presbyterian church, frequently congregates together a dozen, or more urchins, who let loose their missiles without regard to adjacent windows or passing citizens. Let parents caution their children against such improprieties.
