June 10, 2026HAIL STORM.– The storm of Sunday evening a week, was in many portions of the county, the severest and most destructive of the season. In addition to hail of the largest size and great profusion, a perfect tornado followed in the line of the storm, destroying as we have learned, one or more barns, stabling and innumbeable fences and trees. In the neighborhood of Unionville a gentleman informed us that he witnessed trees of the largest size twisted off at the bottom as though they were straw, whilst plank 20 feet in length was taken off, and by the time they fell to the ground, were fit only for kindling wood.
