By virtue of three several Decrees rendered by the Circuit Court of Jefferson County, West Virginia, on the 26th day of April, 1878, on the 21st day of October, 1878, and the 2nd day of May, 1879, respectively, in a certain suit in chancery therein depending, in which the Jefferson County Building Association No. 3, et. al., are Defendants, the undersigned Special Commissioners will offer for sale at Public Auction, on

1879, in front of the Court House, in Charlestown, Jefferson County, W. Va., at 12 o’clock, M., the following valuable
REAL ESTATE!
The farm known as the Samuel M. Knott Farm, lying near the Potomac River in Jefferson county, West Virginia, about four miles from the town of Shepherdstown. The farm contains about
80 ACRES OF LAND!
is of the first quality of limestone, and is improved by an excelled two-story BRICK DWELLING HOUSE, TENANT HOUSE, A BARN, nearly new, and all necessary OUT BUILDINGS. Has upon it a fine CISTERN of WATER, a THRIVING YOUNG ORCHARD, and is in a good state of cultivation.
The Farm is in a desirable neighborhood, and convenient to Schools, Mills and Churches, within easy distance of the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal and the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad; upon the following terms of sale prescribed by the Decrees:
TERMS— One-third of the purchase money Cash on the day of sale, and the residue in two equal annual payments, the deferred payments to be secured by the Bond of the Purchaser and a Deed of Trust upon the premises sold, the Bonds to bear interest from the day of sale. A further description of the Land can be obtained at the Office of George M. Beltzhoover, in Shepherdstown, or at the Offices of William H. Travers, or Frank Beckwith, in Charlestown, West Virginia.
The Land will be started at the price of $33.85 per acre, being the advance bid made by Mrs. Mary E. Hunter for said land, to the Court at the March Term, 1879.
