J. L. Johnson, fatal injuries at ore bank.
May 22, 2020Harrott, Strother Convicted.
May 23, 2020Mr. William Foreman, who has charge of the Virginia ore bank below Shepherdstown, unearthed the skeleton of a human being some days ago. Men were at work making an excavation in the hillside when they uncovered the bones, most of which were still well preserved. The body had been buried in a box, which had entirely decayed, leaving only the nails— old hand-made nails— which had held it together. The bones were those of a very large man, measurements showing that he was nearly seven feet in height. His teeth were enormous, and he must have been a giant in size. There is no knowledge as to who he could have been.
