WED AT BOLIVAR, W. VA. — Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Linden Welsh were married May 1 in the Methodist church at Bolivar, W. Va. She is the former Miss June Dolores Eaton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Reno W. Eaton, Harpers Ferry, W. Va., while her husband’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. M. D. Welsh, Sr., of Bakerton, W. Va. The bride’s pastor, Rev. E. T. Harrison, performed the double ring ceremony in the presence of the immediate families.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a white linen suit with navy and white accessories and a corsage of white carnations. She carried a white prayer book. Mrs. M. D. Welsh, Jr., her only attendant, wore a lilac suit with pink accessories and corsage. M. D. Welsh, Jr., brother of the groom, was best man.
The mother of the bride wore a purple dress with matching accessories and a corsage of white carnations. The groom’s mother was in a black and white dress with black accessories and a corsage of white carnations.
Mrs. Charles Dunn, organist, played the traditional wedding marches and soft music during the ceremony.
Following the ceremony a buffet supper was served at the bride’s home. The bride’s table was decorated with a wedding cake topped with a miniature bride and groom and a centerpiece of pink and white dogwood.
Afterward the couple left for a brief wedding trip through Virginia. For her traveling ensemble the bride chose a gold and gray checked suit with black accessories and a corsage of white carnations.
Mrs. Welsh is a member of this year’s graduating class at Harpers Ferry High School. The groom was graduated from the same high school in 1950. He has just completed basic training at Camp Roberts, Calif., and on May 9 he reported to the Camp Kilmer, N. J. from where he expected to be sent to Germany. While her husband is in the service, Mrs. Welsh will reside with her parents.
