MOTORIST PAYS FINE OF $75.
Her broken right leg is still in a cast, a 14-year-old girl appeared in Traffic Court today as the complainant against Walter J. Flanagan, of Bakerton, W. Va., who pleaded guilty to passing a street car which was still discharging passengers. Judge John P. McMahon fined him $75, with the alternative of spending 45 days in jail. He paid the fine.
The girl, Theresa Cuddy, 600 block B St., S. W., was struck by Mr. Flanagan’s car November 11 a few seconds after she alighted from a street car on Michigan Avenue Northeast. She was taken by Mr. Flanagan to Providence Hospital where she remained for five weeks. She is a student at Notre Dame school here.
