Ray McClellan Lewis
MARTINSBURG, W.Va — Ray McClellan Lewis, 74, Charles Town Road, died Saturday en route to City Hospital.
Born in Dargan, Md., he was a son of the late Jerome and Nannie V. Winks Lewis.
He was employed with Standard Lime Company for 30 years, and with the Martinsburg Plant of the Marietta Corp. for eight years until retiring. He was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, Mt. Nebo Lodge No. 91 AF&AM, Brunswick Lodge No. 1582 L.O.O.M., Senior Citizens and the Baker Heights Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Rodgers Tucker Lewis; one step-daughter, Mrs. Wanda Keebler of Shepherdstown; one step-son, Wayne Rodgers Tucker of Frederick, Md.; one sister, Mrs. Laura Welsh of Bakerton; one brother, Harold C. Lewis of Lovetsville, Va.; and five step-grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. from the Brown Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard Chambers will officiate.
Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 7 to 9.
