October 24, 2025Matthew Sinet, a native of Ireland, this day applied to the Court to be admitted a citizen of the United States, and exhibited to the Court a certificate of the Clerk of the District Court of the United States for the District of Maryland, showing that he arrived in the United States more than five years previous to the date hereof, and declared on oath in the said Court his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and it being proved to the satisfaction of the Court, by the testimony of Martin Grace and Lawrence Finlan, citizens of the United States, who were examined as witnesses on oath, that since the arrival of the said Matthew Sinet as aforesaid, he has resided in this State more than five years, and during that time has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same, he the said Matthew Sinet declared on oath in open Court, that he will support the constitution of the United States and that he doth absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State, or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to the Queen of Great Britain and Ireland, and thereupon the said Matthew Sinet is admitted a citizen of the United States.
