May 10, 2026Lewis Rosenmiller, and Charles A. Barnitz Esquire, Administrators of all and singular the goods and chattels rights and credits whichever of Hugh Cunningham deceased, to whom an order was granted to sell the Real Estate of said deceased, made their Reports to the Court in these words following to wit, To the Honorable the Judges of the Orphans Court of the County of York, Lewis Rosenmiller and Charles A Barnitz, Administrators of the Estate of Hugh Cunningham, deceased, to whom an Order of the said Court was directed to sell the Real Estate of the said deceased, Report as follows to wit, That after first giving due and legal notice of the time and place of sales, they did on the eleventh day of November, A.D. 1817 sell parts of the Estate as follows, viz. No. 1. The Lime kilns and three contiguous lots of ground situate on the north side of Philadelphia Street, in the Borough of York, was sold to Rudolph W. Furry for three hundred fifty one Dollars, one half on the first of April next, the other half in a year thereafter, No. 2. A piece of ground near two acres in content, on the north side of Newbury Road was sold to William Flanegan, for the sum of two hundred Seventy Seven Dollars [?] acre. No. 4. A Triangle of Ground on the north side of the road leading to Weirich Bentz’s on which a Brick yard was formerly erected sold to Thomas Eichelberger for ninety eight Dollars, fifty Cents, one half on the first of April next, the other half on the first day of October next. No. 3. A piece of Ground in Westmanchester Township, adjoining John Love and others, containing about four Acres, was sold to Jacob Smyser for two hundred nine Dollars and Acre, One half on the first day of April next, the other half in one year thereafter. No. 5. A Triangle at the entrance of Kings road was sold to Rudolph Furry for thirty Dollars, half on the first of April next, and half on the first of October next. No. 6. A piece of Ground on the eastern bank of the Codorus adjoining D. Jamesons ground, was sold to Thomas Taylor for fifty one Dollars, half on the first of April next, and half on the first of October next. And the Terms of Number two, sold to William Flanagan was as follows two hundred twenty three Dollars, thirteen Cents of the price to remain as lien in the lands, and the Interest from the time of sale thereon to be annually paid for the use of Elenor Gartner during her life and at her death the principal to be paid for the use of the Heirs of Jacob Gartner deceased, the reminder of the price to be paid half on the first of April next, and half on the first of October next, And it appeared on examination, that a Triangular piece of Ground containing eighty four perches on Penn Street mentioned in said order, had been previously sold by the Intestate in his lifetime.
