A six-year-old son of George Kretzer, living at Flanagan’s wharf, near Bakerton, died last Monday after a brief illness from malignant scarlet fever, and was buried on Tuesday. It is said that scarlet fever exists in three of four families in that neighborhood, and there is considerable anxiety lest it shall spread further.
