Power Plant at Weverton Rumor

The plans have been launched for the construction of a huge power plant at the old Weverton dam at Weverton, on the Potomac river, which is to generate power for the lights of Washington and to furnish current for the operation of the street railway lines in the District of Columbia, is the rumor that has been circulated through this section recently. This dam was erected before the Civil War. Patrick Higgins owned the portion of the dam that extended in Maryland, and Paul Evans, of Philadelphia, owned the part located in Loudoun county, Va.
