January 6, 2026James Franklin Myers, Dargan, died at the Guilford Convalescent Home, Boonsboro, Friday morning of complications, after a long illness, aged 76 years.
He was a member of Church of God of Samples Manor. He was employed by the Standard Lime and Stone Co., Bakerton, W. Va., as a foreman until retirement.
He is survived by the following: Daughters, Mrs. Robert Waters, Dargan; Mrs. Joseph Waters, Hagerstown; Mrs. Edward Knight, Dargan; Mrs. Floyd Eichelberger, Sharpsburg; Mrs. Thomas Knight, Washington; Mrs. Joseph Giffin, Dargan; sons, Roy, Martinsburg; Theodore, Hagerstown; step-sons, Wye and Edgar Moats, Hagerstown; brother, Daniel Myers, Dargan; also 35 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Short funeral service from the home of Mrs. Robert Waters at 2 p. m. on Sunday with further service at the Church of God, Dargan, with Rev. C. W. Fink officiating; interment in cemetery adjoining the church.
