December 21, 2025Beginning October 8th, revival services will be held each night at the M. E. Church South for a period of two weeks.
D. R. Houser is spending his vacation with relatives in Ohio and other points.
Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Geary, Mrs. David Hetzell and children and Miss Pearle Welsh spent Saturday in Charles Town.
On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Grover C. Mills entertained Mr. and Mrs. Walter Long and daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Hoffmaster and son, all of Brunswick, Md.
Mr. and Mrs. M. G. Maisel and son and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold J. Moler motored to Martinsburg on Sunday [to] spend the day.
P. S. Millard is having his store dressed in a new overcoat of paint. Guy Lewis is doing the work.
You just ought to see W. J. B. Houser’s new home. It has ‘lectric lights, bawth room, slidin’ doors, and on each floor has fittin’s to fasten ‘lectric vacuum sweeper– all you have to do is guide it and it does all the work with a self-commencer on it; and the house is stuccoed on the outside with an arched front porch on two pillars. The garret is next to the roof, while an unfinished space is left in the garret so no one will die in the house.
