July 19, 2018Jerome Thomas Lewis, well-known farmer of Samples Manor, Washington County, died suddenly of a heart attack Thursday morning at 1 o’clock, aged 79 years, 8 months, 11 days. He was actively engaged in farming up to the time of his death.
Surviving are his wife and the following children, Wilbur H. Lewis, Hagerstown; Mrs. T.A. Hoffmaster, Brunswick; Guy S. Lewis, Washington; Mrs. Martin Welsh, and Roy Lewis, Bakerton, W.Va.; Harold Lewis, Sharpsburg. Two brothers, David A. Lewis, Jefferson; John F. Lewis, Hagerstown, and eight grandchildren also survive.
Funeral from the late home Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock, with services conducted by Rev. Harold Snyder. Interment Mountain View Cemetery, Sharpsburg. C.H. Feete and Son, funeral directors.
