May 12, 2026Whereas some little time before my marage [marriage] with my husband Doct. Conway Stone their was a marriage contract entered into between Doct. Stone and myself then Elizabeth Farr, in which Contract my Farther [Father] Joseph Farr was appointed Trustee in which Deed he was Bound to pay me or my order the amount of fifteen hundred dollars which he said Farther [Father] had settled on me in my Infancy which was to be paid in the following manner Seven hundred and fifty dollars to be paid at my Marriage or at my arriving at the age of Twenty one and the balance of seven hundred and fifty dollars to be paid me at the Death of my Father [Father] Joseph Farr and whereas it appears that the Marriage Contract Binds him to pay the whole amount on Demand with other household furniture which was not the intention of the Marriage Contract of myself or my husband Doctor Stone therefore We Conway Stone and Elizabeth late Elizabeth Farr, do hearby Covanent and agree to Release Joseph Farr from all Restrictions and Claims as Trustee in the deed of Trust only he is and shall be strictly bound to comply with original deed of gfift of the aforementioned sum of Fifteen hundred dollars to be paid as directed by said deed of gift. we further agree to receipt for and allow said Joseph Farr all acts and money which he has paid for said Elizabeth from the time of arriving at the age of Twenty one years old in Compliance of the foregiving items we the undersigned do bind ourselves or heirs and assigns forever to abide by the above statement as witness our hands and seals this 22th of March 1828.
