Letter from Bakerton.
Bakerton, Jan. 7, 1891.
Miss Mary Moler, ho is attending school in Winchester, was home on a visit during Christmas week. Miss Addie Cather came with her to spend the short holiday given them from their studies.
Everyone appeared to enjoy the snow–sleighs were going in almost every direction, and Bakerton’s young folks were happy. But alas! the snow is gone, and with it that one great pleasure has vanished.
Manager D. R. Houser’s sorrel horse “Spot” trotted from Keller to Bakerton, a distance of not less than 2 1/2 miles, in 8 minutes one morning to a sleigh, and Mr. House had another person in the sleigh with him.
Mr. S. W. Bratt, who is away on a visit, is expected to return this week.
