June 19, 2025Lime Boat Burned In Canal
June 27, 2025The influenza has struck Bakerton and work at the lime plant there has been considerably interfered with on account of so much sickness among the employees and their families. There has been one death from the disease Wallace Grim, who was employed at the quarries. He died last Sunday and was buried on Monday at Sample’s Manor. He was 21 years old. Every member of the family of D. R. Houser has been down with the influenza, except Mrs. Houser. George S. Houser’s family has also been sick with the malady, as have been the families of Wesley Link and Samuel Bond. Miss Daisy Trundle has been sick for two weeks, and is now getting better.
