EASTON, Md., Jan. 6.– Mrs. Mary A. Bratt, wife of Samuel Bratt, of Oxford, Talbot county, died at her residence there this morning. Her father was the late Rev. Henry Bell, of Baltimore, who was for many years a local preacher in the Baltimore Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. Mrs. Bratt was an intense sufferer for some months from cancer. She was widely known for her charity. Her husband together with two sons and four daughters survive her. The oldest son, Henry B. Bratt, and the youngest daughter, Miss Eugenia H. Bratt, reside in Oxford. The second son, Samuel W. Bratt, is superintendent of the Washington Building Lime Company, at Bakerton, W. Va. The eldest daughter is the wife of Rev. Dr. Alfred Smith, presiding elder in the Wilmington Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. The second daughter is the wife of Daniel Baker, of Baltimore. The third is married to the Rev. J. W. Kirk, pastor of Lafayette Avenue Methodist Protestant Church, Baltimore. Mrs. Bratt will be buried Wednesday morning in Greenmount Cemetery, Baltimore.
