Boteler; Gun Belonging to “Old” Brown

We saw in the possession of Hon. A. R. Boteler, on Monday last, a gun belonging to “old” Brown, taken from his rendezvous on the mountain, which weighed 34 pounds and was worked by means of a pivot, attached to the barrel, and was made for the purpose of shooting slugs. Mr. Boteler also had in possession one of the pikes belonging to the band. The blade of which is somewhat like that of a bowie knife or the end of a Roman sword, very heavy, on the end of a six foot ash staff. It is a very formidable weapon, both to cut and thrust. Cook’s private correspondence is likewise in the hands of Mr. B., the most important of which, we suppose, will be published.
