May 10, 2026This Indenture made the sixteenth day of May, anno domini one thousand eight hundred and ten, Between William Flanegan of the Borough of York in the County of [York] in the State of Pennsylvania of the one part, and Daniel Harry of the same place aforesaid of the other part. Whereas the said William Flanegan in and by four certain obligations or writings obligatory under his hand and the seal bearing even date herewith stands bound unto the said Daniel Harry in the penal sum of Three hundred dollars in gold or silver coin and in no other currency. Lawful money of Pennsylvania, Conditioned for the payment of one hundred and fifty dollars, thirty seven dollars and fifty cents, at or upon the first day of April in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and eleven, thirty seven dollars and fifty cents at or upon the first day of April, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and twelve, Thirty seven dollars and fifty cents at or upon the first day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundered and thirteen, and thirty seven dollars and fifty cents at or upon the first day of April, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and fourteen, as in and by the said recited Bonds or obligation, and the condition thereof Relation being thereunto had, more fully and at large, appears. Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said William Flanegan for and in consideration of the aforesaid debt or sum of one hundred and fifty dollards and for the better securing the payment thereof from the said William Flanegan unto the said Daniel Harry his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns in discharge of the said recited obligation and in consideration of the futher sum of one dollar by the said Daniel Harry to the said William Flanegan in hand paid at the unsealing and delivery of these presents the recept whereof is hereby acknowledged. Hath granted, bargained, sold, released, and confirmed, and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, release, and confirm unto the said Daniel Harry, his Heirs and assigns all that messauge or tenement and half lot of ground situate on the west side of Codorus Creek, and on the north side of High street in the Borough of York and known on the general plan of the said Borough by the number three hundred and ninety nine. Containing in breadth on high street aforesaid, thirty two feet six inches, and in length or depth to a twenty feet alley. Two hundred and thirty feet, bounded southward with High Street aforesaid, eastward with the Lot No. 398, Northward with a twenty feet alley, westward with the Lot No. 400. Together with all and singular the Houses, out houses, buildings, barns, stables, gardens, and orchards, improvements ways, woods, waters, watercourses, rights, liberties, privileges, hereditaments, and appurtenances, whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversions and remainders, rents, issues, and profits thereof and all the estate right, title, rise, trust, property, possessions, claim and demand whatesover of William Flanegan of in and to the same message or tenement and half lot of ground No. 399. To have and to hold the said messuage or tenement and half lot of ground No. 399. Hereditaments and premises, hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said Daniel Harry, his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and bekoof of the said Daniel Harry, his heirs and assigns forever. Provided always nevertheless that if the said William Flanegan his hiers, executors, administrators or assigns shall and do well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Daniel Harry, his heirs, executors, administrators or assigns the aforesaid debt or sum of one hundred and fifty dollars on teh days and times herein before mentioned and appointed for the payment thereof according to the conditions of the said recited obligations without any fraud or further delay, and without any deduction, dessalcation, or abatement to be made of any thing for or in respect of any taxes, charges or assessments whatsoever: That then and from thenceforth as well this present Indenture and the Estate hereby granted as the said recited obligations shall cause, determine and become aboslutely void to all intents and purposes whatsoever, any thing herein before contained to the contrary in any wise notwithstanding. In witness whereof, the said parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably set their hands and seals, dated the day and year first above written sealed and delivered in the presence of Andrew Newman, Ign Seitner.
