December 4, 2020DIED.
Near Charlestown, September 30th, 1879, of Scarlet Fever, FANNIE AMELIA, youngest daughter of D. H. C. and A. A. Beckham, aged 2 years.
“She is not dead, — the child of our affection. — But gone unto that school Where she no longer needs our poor protection. And Christ himself doth rule.”
Died at Duffields, on Saturday, the 27th ult., little MARY QUIGLEY HUNTER, daughter of J. N. L. Hunter and Mary E. Hunter. Our dear little Mary was just blustering and blooming into beauty, when Death came along and cut her down. She was affectionate, very sprightly, and loved her parents dearly; was devoted to her Sabbath School, her Teachers and Sabbath School associates. We therefore trust and indulge the hope that our little Mary’s Spirit is attending the Princely Sabbath School this Sabbath day, in our Father’s House. Oh Lord, may we petition thee to receive our Little Darling.
