MR. EDWARD HIGGINS DIES AT FERRY.
Mr. Edward Higgins, an ex-Confederate veteran, of Harpers Ferry, who saw active service in the Stonewall Brigade in the early part of the war, and later in the cavalry, died at his home there last Friday night after a short illness. He is survived by the following children: Edward Higgins, of Pittsburgh; Mrs. A B Watts, of Alliance, Ohio; Mrs. Roach, Washington; Mrs. Lawrence Exner, McKeesport, Pa.; Mrs. W S McLure, of Union, S C, and Miss Anna Higgins, at home. Mr. Higgins was one of the oldest men of the town, having passed his 90th birthday. Funeral services were held Sunday morning in the Catholic Church.
