Mary J. Hoff.
Mary Jane, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Hoff, died at the residence of her parents in Bakerton, W. Va., on August 16, of consumption, aged 17 years 10 months and 8 days. During seven months of severe suffering she was never impatient and never murmured, and the end found her trusting in her Savior. Her protracted illness was distinguished by peace of mind and resignation of will. A large concourse of relatives and friends attended the funeral. The services were conducted by Rev. J. L. Kibler in the M. E. Church, South, of that place, after which her remains were taken to their final resting place in the M. E. cemetery of Uvilla. Besides her parents, she leaves three brothers and two sisters to mourn her loss. The stricken family have the sympathy of the community.
